The story:
I have challenged myself each year to make an Americana quilt to hang in our Quilt Show in May. This was my third original design. My Mother asked it she could take it home to look at it the night after she first saw it. She brought me a check the next day instead of the quilt. However, she did let me hang it in the show with a big SOLD tag on it.

Description:
I have learned to love leftovers! The flag fabric was left over from an Americana quilt that I did in 2003. The abnormal shape of the blocks lent themselves to a different design. The backing is strip pieced with solid red on the sides and the border fabric (strip) down the center. The binding is hand finished.Detail images:
