The story:
This quilt was designed by my husband, Mark. The fabrics and quilting design were also picked out by Mark. He challenges me to try new things; I told him if he would get the design ready for me, I would do it. The fabrics he chose are different than I would have chosen, but I love how it turned out. The quilting design looks harder than it really is (see detail image below). We gave this quilt to our children's pediatrician in appreciation for all that he has done for us.

Description:
This quilt design is based on squares and half-squares. It is a prototype of a new design in yellow, orange and wine fabrics. The top thread is a mono-filament (clear) thread and the back thread is wine colored. The quilt is heavily quilted. The wine colored fabric is used for the backing and the binding is hand finished.
